I'm 5'11''. There is about 10 inches of the post left that you can't see. The minimum insertion point is about 6'' inside the frame at this point.

the bike is a 2008, I got it in November, it has around 1000 miles on it, and there are no spacers below the stem

Yep, tires and bags included. ProRace2 on the front, Michelin Ironman on the rear.
