Moving and Cleaning Out -- 16% PRICE DROP
Can't Post
Got my new wheelset just in time to move, so I'm trying to slim down my extras to keep from having to pack stuff up. This is what's left
Selle San Marco ASPide (black), used w/ small scuffing on rear right side -- $35.00 + s&h
Shimano 105 9s used triple crankset, includes rings (48/32/22?), no BB -- $10.00 + s&h SOLD
Shimano Ultegra 6600 BB Cups -- $7.50 + s&h
Shimano 105 9s mid rear derailleur -- $15.00 + s&h SOLD
Easton Tempest II alloy clinchers -- $325.00 + s&h SOLD
Zipp 303 tubulars -- $625.00 + s&h
Profile Jammer GT clip ons -- $10.00 + s&h
SOLD
Specialized carbon fork, alloy steerer -- $50.00 + s&h
Open to offers as well. The whole moving thing keeps me from having easy access to internet, so don't get too miffed if I don't respond right away.

Bump.
Anyone interested in the 303s can get them for $525 + s&h if they want to purchase them tonight or tomorrow morning before noon. I'd love my trip this weekend to be a freeroll...
Oh, and to those who've paid, your shipments go out tomorrow morning.

...they're $500 Zipps. I list only serious items, and you can ask any of the customers who've bought my old wheels that I don't sell them in any condition but excellent. The rims alone are worth that.
I'm moving, and have to sneak onto the net during work hours in peak cycling season. The fact that I have 'em listed here is more than I was intending. This listing is what it is...I can't do better than describe them at the moment, and have been open in disclosing the aesthetic, non-structural flaw (the generation-specific bulging) to anyone who's serious and inquires about them.
Frankly, and I don't mean this directly at you, but I'm sick of STers buying things. Any time a seller tries to get a fair deal on anything but a set of Hed 3s, it won't move for an impossibly long time. You all want your 808 front/Sub-9 rear combo with mounted Tangente tires and Red cassette to cost under $100. Even then, it has to have a full picture set including a disassembled freehub, to make sure the internals are good, and preferably a written and notarized guarantee that the wheels will never fail during the user's lifetime, even in the event of a head on collision with a vehicle.
If you don't trust me or believe the people who've bought my old equipment that I sell them simply because I've moved on, don't buy from me. It's a simple solution.
BUT...if anyone REALLY insists on being a dick about it and, I'll gladly guarantee an accepted return with complete refund (less return s&h) to within three days of receiving the wheels, should they be in any condition other than I describe.
So, here goes. 38mm, non-dimpled, 1090g according to our shop scales. Hubs have marring on one end cap from seasons of being used in a bike and continually changed out. The rims, as covered, have the structurally-insignificant generational bulging that came from not using angle-drilling on the rims. These were picked up right before the 44mm dimpled variety came out. Happy?

Oh, and for what it's worth, you get the mounted Sprinter (rear) and Tangente (front) tires. Both low-mileage.

?? Then don't sell items. It is a tough market, and you apparently know this based on the rest of your post.

'zactly. Put 'em up on the bay and sell them to scammers for $800 three times. Then end up back here with a lowered price...

Why does everyone SlowTwitch feel they're somehow entitled to the things they want in the Classifieds? Just because I list them doesn't mean someone has a right to own them.
That said, the price goes no lower. I don't NEED to sell these, I'm choosing to. Everyone seems to forget that. You're not doing me any serious favors by buying them, just making things more convenient -- a bit of a moot point since I'm basically all moved in.
That said, call this a bump.

I'm really interested, but could you tell me a little about the spoke tension? Maybe you could put a tensiometer on all of the spokes and report the results?
Thanks in advance.

You say ''then put 'em back up here with a lowered price" like I absolutely
have
to sell them, and that I should list them here with a lower price (than my already stupidly low price) just because no one here actually wants to pay any actual money for anything?
The ST Bluebook would amuse me:
Zipp 1080 front, Sub-9 rear combo, brand new -- $73.50
Zero Gravity 0G-Ti -- $9.25
HED3 clincherz ZOMG w/ cracked rim -- $23,958,492,201,773,249,061.75
Cervelo P3C -- $98,782,317,002,933,681,375,927,139,220.63

It is simple - people are willing to pay only what they think something is worth.
Considering most companies will only honor a warranty to the original purchaser, the used market is completely overpriced IMHO and I stay far away from it.
Do I really want to gamble with $1000+ for a used pair of wheels? uh, no thanks; I'll buy them new.

Shimano freehub. Guess I should've posted that initially -- not sure how I forgot it.

very interesting thread...and shame on you for asking for pics of the zipp's. A three word description of an item is more than enough to give you peace of mind before plunking down $500 bucks...

I have had very good luck with ST buyers. Then again I don't mind questions and a bit of pricing back and forth with Buyers.
Its just an email or a PM, what's the real hassle? If the offered price is too low, then I tell them why. Nothing wrong with bargain hunters IMHO, with a bit of negotiation and a few throw ins, they often end up my buyers. Certainly better then Ebay of late.
My 2 cents. . .
