question for people who've seen Tropic Thunder (spoiler) Can't Post
Ok - so you did you know that was Tom Cruise?
I knew I'd seen that actor before, but I was assuming it was someone who I'd seen but didn't really know their name anyway. Presumably, some bald chubby actor.

So yeah, they got me. Not quite Crying Game/Sixth Sense territory, but I was still blown away at the end of the credits.

I figured it out within about 2 minutes. The face seemed familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it until about 2 minutes later. He had the best surprise role of the film because he was absolutely hysterical. The first Cruise role that I've enjoyed in a long time.

was the humor in the movie along the same lines as zoolander (if you saw it)? I thought that movie was hilarious as did my wife, but I am trying to convince her to go see tropic thunder.

I loved zoolander. This humor is somewhat similar. There's a lot more gore, though. It's a spoof of gore movies, but my gf was still cringing at major portions.

It was the voice that clued me in. Once I recognized the voice, the face made sense.

Awesome character, though.

I didn't like Zoolander that much. I have this thing against people acting completely stupid for the sake of being funny. Doing stupid stuff is funny, but being stupid isn't funny to me. However, this movie is absolutely hilarious. Ben Stiller has a lot of stuff to do with this movie, but this isn't a Ben Stiller movie. RDJ and TC steal the movie and the rest of the cast is pretty good as well.

the teeth got me
