What is a play date?
Can't Post
If neither of you has kids? Does that mean a "safe" daytime date?

Always assume "safe" but bring protection just in case :-). Might just be a trial date. Trying to convey to not take it too seriously but the potential is there.
Gads I'm glad I'm not single anymore. People are too complicated.

Gads I'm glad I'm not single anymore. People are too complicated.
No dogs. I'm thinking it's the trial date thing too considering we only met and spoke for a 1/2 hour. The play date thing just threw me as I hadn't heard the term except in reference to children.

It's a date where he takes you on a run, you look amazingly cute, and then you proceed to hand him his ass.
He then realizes what a catch you are and takes you to lunch where you have amazing conversation, all the while looking ridiculously cute. ;-)

Unless the "Play date" is to take place in a theater watching a bunch of actors in an actual Play then I would suggest that there is implied adult fun and games, which means someone wants to get naked and play which means all kinds of playfull fun ,which means I'm very jealous.
I may be wrong.
But that's just me!

I have never heard of a "playdate" other than with kids. Kinda weird if you ask me.

A) A safe, no-expectations, easygoing day date type thingy...

Oh yeah, on the protection, make sure it isn't the one that has been in your wallet for 6 months and also be sure it doesn't fall out of your pocket. If you get the idea of the date wrong, you'll never see her again.

Here's my interpretation,
She met and liked you,
She wanted to ask you out,
It feels awkward to come out and say, "Let's go on a date"
...so she called it something more innocent-sounding.
I've had a new date ask me, "Do you have any time to play this week?" It meant, Could I find some time to get away from work/home obligations and go on a walk or to a movie.
I think she's asking you something pretty innocent. The "play" reference could also just mean something of the daytime variety, much as children go out to play in daytime.
