men's beach volleyball uniforms

I was really looking forward to seeing the men play after I watched the women play in their teeny, tiny bikinis. The female athletes had to keep pulling the wedgie out of their butt because the bottoms were so small. What a bummer to see last night that they made the men wear long shorts and tank tops! WTF is up with that! Where are the speedos? Do guys really wear a shirt when they're playing volleyball on the beach? It's just not fair :(

I'm not so sure. If I were built like those guys, I'd want to show a bit more skin to help pick up groupies.

I found some decent pictures and their shirts are off. Volleyball players do have nice bodies.

My wife commented on the exact same thing. I told her that I agree 100% but if women want to change it then they'll have to complain louder like they used to back in the 70's.
Who watches the men's game anyways. Just a buncha dorks in baggies.

It is because the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) mandates the unfiorms. There was a big deal made of it prior to the 96 Olympics. It makes no sense to anybody except the stodgy old men in control. The guys would rather play in their "normal" uniform (shorts), but then where would you put the big numbers (1 and 2) so that you can tell the players apart :)

Hey, I thought we were the only guys that still like to wear speedos on the beach. :-)
The women's game really is about T&A. Otherwise beach volleyball never would have become an Olympic sport. It really is a double standard.

I can actually sympathize with you ladies on this point. One of the side reasons why I watch women's beach volleyball is the amount of skin shown. You ladies should have an enticing side benefit as well.
