Use a bigger flask (around 8 oz or so) and cut the gel with some water.

I second the opinion with the water diluting the gel.
Otherwise, you can always have two gel flasks - one in your back pocket and the other on the GU Mount.
Or put your Gu mount slightly further back of the stem, and put a bento box there and put another gel flask or two in the much loved bento box.

I haven't used that flask, I use the Gu flask to carry 5 gels in. I wet the flask before putting the gels in. I have to watch out for the flask dropping off the bike though when it is fully loaded, especially if the road is bumpy.

The last oz is a real pain to get out. I keep the flask in my pocket, pointed down so gravity can help with the last little bit.

In the past I've used a bike bottle with about 8 gels and topped off with water to thin it down. If my plan were to take one gel every 45 minutes then I instead drink 1/8th of the bottle every 45 minutes (I mark 8 evenly spaced lines on the bottle), or over the course of 45 minutes, along with my other nutrition.
Actually, experience has taught me to simplify my nutrition. I now now use only Infinit and NO gels. Calories are calories...as long as you are getting the right amount, combination, and varity of sugar and electrolytes (and amino acids) all in one source then you don't need anything else. I use one highly concentrated bottle of Infinit and pour a measured amount to my aero bottle with water throughout the bike. I might put something in my special needs bag just for the change of taste or tecture...or another concentrated bottle of the same as a back up in case I lose tbe bottle ;during the first half of the bike.
Whatever you do...train with it so you know what to expect and adjust as needed before race day.

this is not as environmentally-friendly as the GU-flask option, but i usually tape GUs to the top tube; i prefer that because, a) don't have to worry about 1 flask falling off and losing all those calories at once, and it's easier for me to measure/manage calorie intake with individual GU paks.

Use EFS liquid shot. It doesn't have gelling agents so it is much easier to get out of the flask. You actually have to be a little careful when you squeeze otherwise you end up squirting 400 calories into your mouth at once. By the way I don't work for the company but I was have the same problem as you. I first tried to water the gel down but that significantly increases the volume to calorie ratio. It is also supposed to have more amino acids and more electrolytes than other gels.
