AMICA sprint chmapionship Phoenix, AZ thoughts? Can't Post

Here are my thoughts on the weekend and feel free to add yours:

registration/packet pick up is an hour drive from the course. WTF.

the directions from the website were wrong...we were in a caravan of cars that ended up on some dirt road 15 miles west of the Lake.

No timing chip. WTF. It's a "championship"

there is one road in to the course. They shut it down nearing the start. Friends and family coming in were S.O.L if they weren't early. Get your walking shoes on - 5 mile walk from the next nearest parking.

Very poor transition area security. My bike could have walked out of there so easily and I could have taken any pros bike out. There was one old man (70+) monitoring the transition and he didnt say one word to me to match my number to my bike. I should have gone back to get some new wheels!

They did the awards ceremony right next to the finish line as people were still finishing. I didn't think this was very nice.

I forgot to mention the swim out run to T1...yeeeeeeeeah.

They have ALOT of wrinkles to work out before they get people coming back. Pros were there just for the money. Joe Gambles won it, I know Chris Foster was 3rd and Shoemaker was 4th.

Your thoughts.....
