American Triple-T Ohio REGISTRATION OPEN	Can't Post

Good morning ST's:

The cult classic, the American Triple-T in Ohio on May 21-23 in Portsmouth, Ohio is NOW open for registration and is filling fast. We thank everyone for their continued support of this unique event. Go to www.americantriple-t.com for all the details and registration info. Most of the on site lodging is SOLD OUT. So...if you're planning on racing visit our website and get yourself a place to stay ASAP. For the 2010 event the park is going to offer a campingpolloza area next to the staging area for a nominal charge. RV's and tent camping will be allowed - no water or electric will be available BUT you'll be able to sleep to 6:50am on day 3 :).

New this year - we're ranking everyone by their best 1/2 iron time with the exception of past champions and podium finishers.

BTW - we're planning an official training camp for the event on April 23-25. Check out www.hfpracing.com for more info on that as it comes available.

I promise my wife after every Triple T I will take next year off, then you come on here and tell me registration is open and I get all excited and sign up!!! you are killing my marriage! ;)

All signed up and real stoked for it! was kinda concerned to see that reg was already open the other day when for months now the website had said It would not be open till Nov. 1st at Noon.

Thanks for the heads up. I just signed up. I have a few questions that I couldn't seem find on the search function. Any suggestions on places to camp with the family. I checked the on site lodging is booked. So Camping may be the best bet.. With 2 kids, I'm not sure if the campingpallooza is a good idea. Also, this is my first triple t do most people train as if it were an ironman? I know the numbers add up, but is the training the same? Any suggestions from some of the vets, how do you handle the hill training when your stuck inside all winter.

Was the 1/2 iron time supposed to be the best at the Little Smokies Half or any Half?

I'm confused. We were supposed to provide you with our best half IM time or our expected half-IM time at the Triple T? I went with my best guess for the Triple T. I guess it really doesn't matter where I start anyhow. I have always been near the end and always had a terrific time with no issues cause of where I was ranked.

I'm in! Yeeeeeah, BOOOOyeeeeeee. Anyone got a place to stay around there? Shit, I didn't think it opened until Nov 1st.

It's your "best" half time from anywhere. If you need to change it go back to www.imathlete.com and change your time - that's the nice thing about their system, after you register you can make changes up until the RD downloads the data.

I am in and probably more excited about it than the 2 iron distance races I have scheduled next year. Even booked up the room in the lodge there months ago in anticipation. The camping festival set-up sounds fun but not so much with an infant. I will probably be in for the training weekend as well. Hope too see you there.
