Check This Out! Warm Weather Training Camp! Can't Post

Looks pretty cool, and would be awesome training in Austin. I need to get down there sometime.

Is anyone going to go to the Ranch?

I've been thinking about it. I have my plans narrowed down to either the Ranch or a more expensive trip to Spain for some training. The question is, where will it be warmer?

I'm not sure what part of Spain you are considering but I just posted a bunch of weather data about Austin to an "Austin vs Tucson" thread here. I found some average temperatures for Sevilla, in southern Spain, here. They look remarkably similar to Austin and Tucson, actually! The site doesn't report precipitation numbers.

The Austin Endurance Ranch has also donated two nights to an online auction as part of the Crime Prevention Institute's Art Beyond Bars event. The auction is open for one week. All proceeds go to charity, you also get a $100 gift card to Run-Tex, and you can still get a day free if you choose to extend the 2 days to a weeklong stay. http://tinyurl.com/aer-ebay.

It won't be warmer in Spain. No matter where you go. Typical average min in Sevilla would be around 40F in December-January. Mallorca (a popular area to train) is a bit cooler (and definitely more wet). That said, the change of scenery is great.

You could also check Fuerteventura in the Canary islands. Olaf Sabatschus is organizing training camps there in March and April. Really nice place.
