Forerunner 305 sound stopped working
Can't Post
4 days before B2B! This is going to thoroughly annoy me.
Called Garmin and they gave me instructions to clean the back of the watch where the speakers are with a Q-tip and alcohol and also to perform a hard reset. No go on either options, it'll have to be sent in after the race.
Wahhhh.

Mine did the same thing. My sound would work by itself, but if I would attach it to the quick connect wrist band or bike mount, it wouldn't work any longer. Based on some research on Google, I cracked it open and bent the brass/copper (not sure what they are made of) contacts on the inside upward slightly and it has worked fine since. Be very careful because they felt very flimsy and like they would break easily. I then put it back together. I was afraid since I had broken the seal that it would not stay together, so I put a few drops of super glue on the seam in different places. It has worked great for a few months now. It even connects to my computer better now. I use to struggle getting it to connect.
Just my experience.

Mine croaked a few months ago...hard reset, soft reset....nothing worked. I had to send it in. They gave me a new/referbished one for $79. I can't complain as the watch was 3 years old. Guess that doesn't help you for your race....but you will get a new watch out of it.
