Gotta' love cyclocross photos ... Can't Post

Just though I'd share some from the "Gun Club" cross last weekend. Can't find a more pleasant, yet painful, racing experience ;)

Bikes worth WAY more than the car ...

Love a good remount ;)

From young to old ...

Borat made an appearance (my teamate) ;)

no you don't have to love cross photos at all, at least none of those. besides, it's boring after a bit. one hour? phuck that.
It's not about the bike, it's just along for the ride.

and i get pretty tired of the photos of stupid people in the park. i could care less for someones atrocious thoughts on what humor is and in public? those costumes? uh uh. once, maybe twice but that's about all of that i could take.

not a big cross fan is pretty much it.

Ya don't say ... I would have never guessed ;)
That's OK by me - anyone riding, especially racing, a bike in any form is fine by me. Just ... ah, keep clear of me if on your tri bike if you happen to find yourself near me ;)

Cool pics. This is my 1st season racing CX, so far I am loving and it is slowly becoming my favorite sport. Between bpq and trukweaz I am learning a lot on the fly and hopefully I can stop using the training wheels by the last race of the series :)

here are some cool pics of the elite (males and females) @ Cyclesmart cx cup on Northampton this past weekend: http://www.podiuminsight.com/...art-international-i/

Awesome pics... where were these taken? I don't really understand the appeal of using a road bike instead of a mountain bike for trails and mud but to each their own. Certainly draws an exotic crowd. BTW I think the children doing cyclocross is cute in an Oliver Twist sort of way.

Sweet.

Man, I'm kicking myself because I've been busy and haven't found the time to race a single cross event yet this year. Luckily we've still got a handful of races yet to choose from here in Oregon this season.

Re: Gotta' love cyclocross photos ... [rroof] [In reply to] Can't Post

I finally decided to do some cross races this year and it is a very sobering experience! I "didn't get it" at first either but now I really like it and enjoy it! It's is by far the hardest 40-60 minutes you will encounter with a bike! Most tri guys will get their asses handed to them on a muddy seat... It takes more than a big engine that can burn it for 10 hours.. Like the OP said. If it is people on bikes.. I'm for it. Some people should open their minds a bit.

i definatley plan on racing cross, it's just not that important to myself so i'm not against it or anything but rather much like rroof, anything bike related is fine with me and excites myself, always has and always will.

Re: Gotta' love cyclocross photos ... [rroof] [In reply to] Can't Post

Cyclocross is becoming a sport for hippsters or affluent bike-snobs who after singlespeed now have moved on to cyclocross.

When the guys in their BMWs, on fancy 5k cross bikes and matching team kits started showing up at local races at increasing numbers it was time to move on.

That is not the original cyclocross, it merely is what you followers of fashion think it is.

Roadhouse, before you go race cross, you should take a high school English class, in general, I cant really tell what you are trying to say.

nice pics roof!!!!

I will say I always seem to find better looking race kits in Cyclocross than in most triathlon tops and bottoms.
