Sorry cant help much because I don't have these aerobars, but I would like to know where you find them, I can't find them available online and my local bike shop can't get them!
Would also be interested in your first impressions of these bars!
Here is what I can tell you if you want to install armpads like Zabriskie or David Millar (over the extensions). I send a message to 3T and here is their answers:
You can purchase, as an aftermarket accessory, part number 30006, a MISTRAL combo clamp conversion kit. This comes with the top mounted clamps (cradles and extension clamp – combo) and risers.

Yes, Mistral bars seems to be gone on every online shops!
I'm not sure that part I mentionned look like the following pictures but just go through this "Cycling News gallery" to see Mistral bars installed on Garmin and Astana bikes.
Here is the Zabriskie setup (armpads over the extensions):

David Millar setup (armpads over the extensions):

Sastre setup (armpads on the basebar):

And there are a few others pictures of these bars...
Some straitforward "over the extension" setups:

Or some strange ones:

those "bumps" in the pursuit bar are rubber plugs. you pop them out and threaded inserts are underneath. it took me a bit of time to figure this out, 3T doesn't explain this in any of its literature that i've seen, either online or with the bar when you get it.
i have a set on which 3T's ventus armrests are mounted. it mounts fine, but, i'm messing around with some garage fixes as to getting the armrests exactly how i want them. also, i'm using a set of profile extensions on them, rather than the extensions that come with. but, in general, it's a great bar, esp for the money.

Have you figured it out yet? I can send some pics of the pads on mine if you need them.

How did you get the plugs off the base bar to install the arm pads? Even with a razor blade the sides of the caps keep curling up.
Also, did the ends of your extensions come with caps? Mine did not and it looks very unfinished, what did you do?

I have been having trouble removing the "caps" from the base bar of the Mistral. I wrote an E-mail to 3T and below was the responce.
This is an issue we have come across with the first production. In future, we are shifting to a softer plastic to make them easier to get out.
To remove (current ones) we have found screwing in a small wood screw and pulling them out is better than trying to pry them out with a blade.
Also, warming them up with a blast from a hair dryer or heat gun can help to soften them up a little, before trying to pull them out.
Thanks for your interest in The New 3T.

This is my first time wrenching my bike and it’s not that hard at all. I’m really learning a lot about my bike and enjoying the process. I thought I would share the below with you all.
I tried the 3T recommended method of Mistral Pro cap removal and it worked. Heat up the plastic cap with a hair dryer, then screw in a wood screw through the cap and then pull out the screw/cap with a pair of pliers.

Also, the aluminum arm rests screw right into the carbon base bar. For base bar protection from friction and vibration put a rubber washer in between the armrest and the base bar. 3T does not supply anything for protection.
Also, this base bar is set up for internal brake levers (Shimano, SRAM, TRP, 3T, ECT) Vision levers will not work if you want a clean internal look. The only hole for a cable is near at the bottom of the base bar near where the stem connects. If you want to use Vision levers you need an adapters to make the lever fit the hand grip and will need to tape the brake cable from the hand grip all the way down the bottom of the base bar to the steam.
Team Garmin did it for one of their riders (

) which is a bit sloppy for my taste.
Example of Mistral Pro with Vision lever

Yes, but you then need part number 30006, a MISTRAL combo clamp conversion kit, that allows you to attach the armrest to the aerobar rather than an armrest on the basebar. It will look like this
