This has to be asked...
If Lance trained specifically for the marathon, how much sooner would he have crossed the line than Meb?

The future for Lance...
After he retires from cycling and dominates the run circuit, he will publish a book, "It's not about the shoes."
Shortly after the impossible to silence doping allegations, he will prove it's not about the shoes by racing in Vibrams.
Then, in one glorious picture, we will have Lance, a LIVESTRONG bracelet on the wrist, Vibrams on the feet, a RoadID on the ankle, and a Mother Effing Fuel Belt.

Fleck - you just gave me an idea. Since you sparked the idea, we have to share the royalties when we sell it....a series of Nike "Lance Knows Sports" commercials.
DZ saying "Lance knows bikes" --- Lance flys by the camera on a bike.
Hall saying "Lance knows running" --- Lance runs by in a shweet set of Nike Livestrong Lunaracers.
Phelps - "Lance knows swimming" ---- Lance into the wall...comesback with a perfectly executed flipturn.
Jeter asks quizzically "Lance knows baseball?" -- Lance the left handed batter pulls a line drive off of Texteria's head because he was not paying attention to the greatness in the batters box.
Matthey McConaughy, dressed in full Wooderson charichter, states emphatically "Lance knows chicks...alllright" -- Lance winks at the camera with a Olson twin on one side, some other hottie off of the other side...
Shot of Lance shanking a ball into a pond --- Tiger "no..."
This would be AWESOME...I can't believe nobody thought of it!

as stupid as these Lance threads are, that is a great commercial idea. I know Dennis McMinn works at Nike and frequents this board, maybe he'll catch wind of the idea and pass it along.

Yeah Jason, I was thinking the same thing as I was typing the reply. I mean, wow, what a cool idea for a commercial. I can't believe that the ad geeks at Nike did not come up with a "(fill in the blank) knows" commercial...how cool would that be!!?? There have been a few notable two sport folks over the years...I sort of remember that guy with the hip problem that played football at Auburn. I know there have been at least a couple more.
