Ouch! I guess I shouldn't post the pic of my 5K tattoo with my time of 53:18 underneath ;)

I would never get the Mdot tattoo and almost feel for the guys/girls that got it before it went totally corporate. It's definitely a personal choice but what I don't understand is how somebody can spend thousands on a hobby and then be cheap and get a low quality tattoo. How difficult is it to mess up on straight lines?

I am also a fan of the Ultraman tat. The sheer Badass-ness of the Ultra part is balanced nicely with the sheer sillyness of the Carbo-Pro illustration. I do love me some Carbo Pro though...

This is my favorite in the category of "most unworthy race tatoo."

I have seen a direct relationship between the slower the IM time the higher chances of a person getting a tattoo

Some of those are pretty cool, especially the 'cracking' one. Not sure if I'd get one, I'm probably the only Marine vet without a tattoo.

I'm not at all a tattoo person but you would be the guy I could see getting one with good reason, anybody that serves earns the right to wear it like a badge of honor. My grandfather had his ships name on his arm from WW II. All this other "art" crap, barbed wire et al is stupid and it's so common it's no longer unique, just like body piercings.

I never have understood why people care, judge, ridicule others. It's none of my bussiness why someone gets a tat. I thought most of them looked cool.
I agree with you ..almost 100%. The "bad" tatoos presented here are tame. For those wondering, some of the most spectacularly awful tatoos are presented at ugliesttatoos.com. Check it out sometime. Hilarious. It's hard not to judge some of the choices made there.

she didn't show off the tat, he did. she got the ironman tat because she did 'it 'for whatever her reason was and no doubt she deserves and reserves the right to have that tat and to show it off even if it's by third party. good for her. i like her. i applaude her.
