Lifetime Series, which course for a PR?
Can't Post
My goal for next year is to peak for either Chicago or LA. Which course is faster?
Thanks

I think your talking about the LTF Race to the Toyota Cup Tri Series(note- I work on the series so it's something I am picky about; sorry :) ).... Chicago is definitely faster. LA you typically have a decent to rough OW swim and the run has a monster hill that you ascend twice. Just check finishing times to give you an idea.

There are no PRs in triathlon because none of the distances are truly standard. Don't get obsessed with the mythical triathlon PR. It doesn't exist and it will prevent you from taking on truly beautiful and challenging courses because your time will appear slow.

These races are all much too large to really be PR races. It is too crowded and the transitions are too large.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy these races for what they are. They just are not PR races.
Find a small local Oly if you want a PR.
