Lorain, Ohio Olympic	Can't Post

I'm going to be in the Cleveland area this weekend, so I thought I might do the Lorain Olympic Tri as it's only a few miles from my Dad's house, where I'll be staying.

Is anyone else doing it? Done it before? It looks like there are only 13 pre-registrants so far. Maybe I can WIN my age group this time!

I havent done Lorain specifically, but ive done a few NCN races before.

Cheap, no frills, but well run races. Rick does a good job with what he has.

I would echo Flak's comments. I did the sprint last year. Nice job by NCN, but no frills. they had 120 for the sprint, the oly is a much smaller race.

I did the sprint last year. I was considering doing the Oly this year, but I'm kind of leaning against it and training instead. I could use a nice long bike ride and run. My training has been abysmal.

It's a fast course and nice local race. You'll get a trophy, for sure.

It is cheap: only 80 bucks on race day for the Oly! (unheard of where I live)

I'll need to return my bike to the bike shop at the end of that route. And we would still need to ride to the beginning from the race site, which is around 17 miles, or get a ride (in a car) to my Dad's house in Westlake and ride from there.

We lived right next to the valley when I was a kid and I grew up down there.

That might work. Ok, if it's nice out I'll go. And I'll bring my training wheels, or maybe my road bike for a ride afterwards. Might be better to drive to Rocky River and ride from there. It's on the way for me (I'm an east sider).
