The problem is not your training partner. He sounds like he's doing well and can still train with the LBs
The fact is he is still your training partner and you are behind him checking out his dumper, therefore slower than him.

I know I shouldn’t care…it’s embarrassing however to hit the pool or a ride with him while he’s lugging that thing around. I mean common, doesn’t he have any pride??!! I'm eating gu and deep-dish over there is inhaling rolos. I hope his new carbon bike is sturdy enough for that ample back-yard.

“Why am I looking at his fat ass in the first place?” That’s the f-ing problem…I can’t help but look at that double planet. His ass is everywhere on a ride. The “overtaken” rule is nearly impossible to follow in his case because when you ride up on Mdcrag in a race, you have to either fall back because you can’t see around him or literally make a left hand turn and ride sideways for awhile get around that thing. His saddle gets my vote for triathlete of the year.

WOW...CaptainCanada drops an Artie Lange reference on Slowtwitch. Never thought I would see the day.
I have to admit, I listen to Stern on almost every run and bike ride with my iPod unless I'm with a group...really passes the time. The drawback is when they get into something that is piss your pants funny...and I'm smack in the middle of a long climb and hard interval. Can't imagine how many folks have no idea who Artie or Stern is on this forum.
