Newton Shoe Defect Can't Post

I am on my third pair of Newtons. First pair no problem. Second pair had to return since heel rubber started to seperate and flip up and just noticed this replacement pair is doing the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem? Wondering if its me or the shoes.

They have had a problem with heel rubber coming off and have replaced a lot of the shoes in the stores. Good news is they are taking care of the problem and should take care of you. I would contact Newton directly or take it to your local store and they should take care of it for you.

Do you think they will do it twice for me as this is my second pair since August doing this?

I had a different issue with my first (and last) pair of Newtons. The fabric wasn't cut and sewed properly inside the shoe causing a large bulge near the pinky toe.

I've owned a few pairs and never had a problem, but have had interaction with their customer service (which is absolutely top notch). Give them a shout, bet they'll do the right thing.

I had the same problem. They were quickly replaced and I haven't had the issue again. I'd think they would be good for a second replacement.

I have flat, fat feet. I tried out a pair close to when they first came out, and busted through the sides. The seams came apart where they meet up with the sole on the inside part of your feet. Bought from the 2nd shop in the country that was carrying them at the time (Runners High 'n Tri) in Arlington Heights, IL. Problem was I live in Connecticut. Newton wanted me to deal with the shop I bought from for a return. Runner's High 'n Tri was awesome about it, they even paid to ship me a replacement pair after I shipped my first pair to them. 2nd pair held up much better, but would not purchase again. Newton admitted to defect and that the shoes were NOT designed for people with wide feet.

Same exact story for me, but I didn't have deal with the shop I bought them from, they told me to send them directly to them. They even shipped them before they had mine. Agreed, top notch customer service.

I thought every pair of newtons was defective.

No problems for me, based on three of the green Distance, three of the orange Gravity, and one of the red Gravity.

However, one time an order I wanted delivered to my daughter's apartment in NYC didn't make it there. I found this out when I arrived at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, and phoned Newton just to see if they knew where it was. I was told they would check into it, and he asked how long I would be staying with my daughter. When I told him I was leaving the following evening (Saturday), he said he would send another pair overnight rush delivery, and I should have them by 11 a.m. Sure enough, at 10:30 she checked her mailbox and found a delivery card there, and my shoes had made it. That was on Newton's tab, not mine.

Great shoes, and even better customer service - right up there with De Soto.
