Novice and assistance Can't Post

I am a novice to biking, or I just lack common knowledge about it. I am looking at purchasing either the Felt B-12 (2009) or the Fugi Aloha 1. I wanted to know peoples opinions or suggestions. And please do not say personal preference, because at this point, it would be divine intervention for me to know the difference. I know there is a price difference, but for the more expensive version am I getting enough that I will notice a difference? Or something that will last longer?

test ride both of them, there probably isnt much difference in componentry assuming the price is the same. probably Ultegra shifting? price being the same, get the one that feels best.

2x and get the one that you just like more and can see yourself riding more. It will make you want to ride that little bit more to help you be bettet then the next guy. Hopefully it is the one that FIT'S better.

the felt is going to have a bit less drag than the fuji assuming you can achieve your optimal position on each.

but it won't be noticeable

The main considerations are a) which one fits you better and b) which shop you are more comfortable with. They are both good bikes.

The Fuji uses the lower end of the spectrum on componentry, etc. The B12 uses the higher end, including a 40mm wheelset. You are getting substantially better stuff with the Felt. The B12 is a racing level bike, the Fuji is an entry level bike. You can still race on it, but performance will probably be better with the Felt.

Additionally, if you decide you hate biking and want to sell, the Felt is definitely going to have a much higher resale value.

I am a novice to biking as well and I had the same problem to buy my first bike. finally decided to buy a mid priced bike to get use to biking and make better choice when I have more experience.

I say go with the Felt if it fits you. A much sexier bike & overall better brand IMO.

The felt is a nice bike. The fuji seems more entry level.
