Powertap data workflow
Can't Post
I'm new to the PT and I'm trying to figure out the best workflow. I downloaded WKO+ trial and trying to work with that as well. How do you get the data from the PT to WKO+? Export from PowerAgent or direct? When do you clear off the PT? each time? It seems to take awhile to download after only 4 sessions of use. If you use WKO+ do you still use PowerAgent? What I've been doing so far seem slow and inefficient. I'd love to see the process that other folks go through.
Thanks!!

I don't bother with Poweragent. I just download into WKO+ and then upload it to Traingpeaks from there. I tend to clear the PT after every ride. The only thing I use Poweragent for is to change the setting on the PT.

Same as above - just WKO+. Long rides take a while to download (a minute seems like forever when you're staring at it), but it's not going to be any better with anything else. I download and analyze immediately after the ride. PowerAgent isn't really very useful. I clear the head unit immediately before starting every ride, so there's no multiple downloads to deal with.

Just download it directly via WKO+. That is, in part, what the program was designed to do. Is there a reason that you want to download via Poweragent?
I clear the PT each time, after download. In part because I always want to look at the data after a ride. Also so I don't head out on another ride with the old data still in there. (Obviously you can start a new interval to separate the rides but why not just delete the old data?)

Sounds much better than what I was doing. I will try that tonight.
