Stolen in Vancouver? Felt DA Ltd Ed?
Can't Post
I just spotted this on Kijiji. It's got to be stolen Ztech wheels, the Zuka bars alone would be worth the $1400 they are asking.

Darn, and it's just my size...
I'll be needing a new one when I heal up, now that I sold mine.

SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT
I recall a similar price point on a P3C on the same web site so for sh!ts and giggles I e-mailed the seller, what the seller wanted was for me to send the cash to a third party who would hold the money in trust, the seller would then send the bike to me to inspect and if I liked and and wanted to keep it the third party would release the money. I though WHOA scam scam scam..........
I did a bit more digging and determined that the seller was using a unsuspecting e-mail address because when I tracked this person down they had no idea their e-mail address and location was being used.
"as the old saying goes if it sounds to good to be true it is"
For the record I did contact the webmaster for the website informed them of the scam and the ad was promptly removed.

Oh, it's definitely a scam. I hope that I can locate the true owner, it's a lot of bike to lose and would be an arm and a leg to replace.

I contacted Kijiji too but kind of hope it's still up in the morning so that I have something to show around the LBSs.

Yes - - - scam scam scam. Was a similar one around for a P3C. I'm involved in anti-fraud and AML work, and when I began a query of the last one I saw (it was also on Ebay), it immediately disappeared off of Ebay and Craigslist. If it's a deal that just too good, it's just that.

Probably not even stolen. Usually these scammers just take photos that someone else has posted on their website or facebook or another for sale ad and reuse them. They often take the text descriptions too. Happens all the time with Car scams.

Appears Winnipeg has one too.
Ridely Dean with Zipp 999's for $1500.
http://winnipeg.kijiji.ca/...d-W0QQAdIdZ165165803
Scott Plasma LTD $1300
http://winnipeg.kijiji.ca/...e-W0QQAdIdZ164424904
Don't know shit about Mtn bikes but this one looks suspect as well.
2009 Santa Cruz v10 Mountain Bike $1500

My suggestion is give Vancouver crime stoppers a call. They will take your info and fwd it off to the appropriate division for investigation. That is what's been done in Winnipeg. Odds are this person is not even in Winnipeg or Vancouver.
