Tubular replacement online video...
Can't Post
A good friend of mine gave me his HED3 front and RENN Disk rear wheel. Both are tubulars. I've got an Oly race this weekend, and was hoping to watch something online that shows how to remove and replace it with the spare.
Anyone know of a video online? Or have any advice?
I've never ridden with 1) tubulars or 2) disk/HED3 wheels before...ever.
Thanks.
PS - Thanks, John, if you read this.

I carry Tufo tape and a spare tubular. Here is a video of how to mount a tubular. I think you can pre-glue your tubular but I never bothered to find out how.

Just something else I flat don't understand...why don't you take a few minutes next Saturday and figger out how an important part of your bicycle works.

Make sure the spare is pre-glued. Easier, faster, and cleaner than tape IMO.
Carry a razor and a plastic tire lever - I think the pedro's ones work the best.
I've had better luck (speed wise) getting the tire off with the tire lever, but the razor works pretty good to.

Informative videos!
I remember reading on this forum about a "correct" way to mount a tubie. i.e. a way to mount it for lowest rolling resistance.
Are there any vids about that?
Or...what is the difference between the correct method and the Zipp video?

Lots of sites with ways to glue a tubular.
I think one of the "best" is on the park tool website.

If it takes a week too properly glue a tubular, it's gonna really mess up your bike split if you flat during a race.

naw.
You "pre-glue" the spare and you live the realization that after an inrace change it may not be the best.
Than after the race you replace it and reglue it properly
