Vacation Destination
Can't Post
It's only mid-November, and I am already tired of the 100+ km/h winds, torrential downpours, and heavy wet snow (north coast of BC). Any suggestions for an affordable, warm, cycling friendly location? I am looking for cycling only, don't need nightlife or other entertainment. Decent restaurants, clean hotels, and low population would be great. So, sell me on your town...

TUcson cones to mind, so does my town, ALbuquerque. Excellent year round training, not much flashy crap, lots of good restauraunts, cheap hotels. Did I mention GREAT riding.
As it turns out, what you have is less important than what you do with it...

I was on the east coast of Majorca this summer for 2 weeks. Some of the best riding/weather I've ever seen.
A flight from BC would probably be pretty expensive though

You could try Lanzarote.
I'm going back next week - a fantastic island for SBR!

Affordable, warm, cycling friendly destination vacation without much of a nightlife. Sounds exactly what I've heard Tucson is all about. The high today looks to be about 78. Sounds nice to me!

I second the vote for Lanzarote. Amazing cycling venue, cheap to live. A little pricey for the flight, but not horrible.

Ooh, I love Abq - my bro used to go to school there, and I fell in love with New Mexico immediately. I would definitely go back. And New Mexican food ROCKS!!!!

Central coast CA, anywhere between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara.
