come on get down with the sickness Can't Post

so after finding out i had the day off but waking up coughing and hacking, the cold kinda coughing, i decided to run it out of me and so off i went. come three miles into it, capoof! nothing.

i felt so good with the beautiful day and the seratonin talking to the melatonin upstairs but i guess the stomach is the real naysayer in this body cause it's not keeping anything in it, not properly anyways.

i now have a harsh burning in my throat and my chest and when i cough because there is a little loose phlem trying to make it's way out, i wanna die, it's that bad. like i swallowed a flamethrower while it was on high flame, or the Torch from the Fantastic Four.

anywho, anyone else ever run themselves into the ground and what are your rememdies if you have any?

Thanks,

Dr. Not So Feel Good.
It's not about the bike, it's just along for the ride.

Re: come on get down with the sickness [roadhouse] [In reply to] Can't Post

went through that last year. The remedy was a trip to the ER, a chest x ray, prednisone, and antibiotics.

Oh and 10d of rest.

Hope you feel better soon. Stop training if it is in your chest.

no remedies, i just want to say that i really like your posts. it's like a stream-of-conciousness that fights the paradigm of "traditional gramatical structure." i also like the selective use of the shift key; you're damn right Torch is the only word that deserves capitalization.

Oh, and green tea is always good for colds.

Stop training if it is in your chest.

I'll second this. Nasal congestion and I just back off. Any sort of cough or pain in the lungs and it's stop training completely. Which is why I'm sitting here with a zero day for the first time in 12 weeks. Too much training, too much candy, and two kids sick at home with me. I lasted about a week before sucumbing. I hate zero days.

I have a feeling you would be an incredibly interesting human being to meet. Either that, or you would be incredibly terrifying.

And anytime you're congested is the perfect time for the group ride. Snot rockets are how to teach lessons about echeloning.

Zinc drops. They sooth the throat and knock down colds faster than anything I know.

I'd try sniffing glue. Not because I think it's going to help your condition, but because it is probably the only thing that can make your "stream-of-consciousness," illogically-punctuated writing more interesting.
