Glad to hear you are progressing - that has been a long haul for you! Hope you can avoid the disc surgery. I have some pretty bad degeneration at one level but I have nursed it along pretty good so far. Keep us updated on how you are doing. Your shuffle speed is my "run"! I am trying to keep it going as I start winding down the 55 - 59 age group.
Yes, it will be a great day doing a marathon with my daughter . . . just hope I can keep up! I'm going to finish the 100, which will be just in time for your recommended taper. I last ran a marathon (stand alone) 22 years ago to pace a friend. The last one I really ran was 30 years ago. So, folks think it is weird with all the IMs when I say this is a bit of a new adventure. I really have no idea what I can do, other than I know I can keep chugging.
