On xtri.com there is a story about a race in Belgium, that is a 10k run 100k bike and 100 laps on a speedskating ring? Wow--your quads are probably so heavy after that. Sounds fun--wish I could skate.

I'm glad I can't skate. I tried it once.... too hard.

I don't know. How long is the speed skating track, long or short? Sounds fun regardless.
I'm with Tom in that this is a lot of work for your legs. What they should do for fairness is have a 20 mi. kayak/canoe (or x/c ski depending on season), 100 lap skate and then a 10k.
If you have alot of cycling experience you would be surprised at how quickly you can learn to skate. The muscles are already developed, you just need to learn how to use them differently.
Tom: I thought everyone from Michigan knows how to skate!?!

There is a winter tri up here in the Great White North where you skate, x-country ski and then run.
