Recognizing that many members here are predominantly Type I fiber enthusiasts, it's worth noting that the level of Type II fibers an individual possesses greatly influences their response to training and performance in the red zone. Whether you're more twitchy (fast-twitch) or diesel (slow-twitch) can be quantified using a concept known as your Anaerobic Speed and Power Reserve (ASR/APR), which was developed largely under the leadership of Drs. Peter Weyand and Matt Bundle in the early 2000s.
