Basically what Titanflexr wrote, but the expanded edition.
- mark the position of the first *and fifth* met heds on the outside of your current shoe.
- draw a line connecting those dots *across* the cleat with a sharpie or paint pen.
- place new cleat on top of old cleat on old shoes, trace the line across the new cleat.
- mark the center of this line on cleat. Not the center of cleat, the center of the line.
- draw the same line and center point on the new shoes, sans cleats.
- install new cleats on new shoes in position indicated by line/center point.
