New P3 Ultegra - now available
Just got a notice from Cervelo that the New P3 with an Ultegra 11 spd build is now available.

All the 700c bikes (including size 48!) show to have open stock on their dealer order site.

MSRP = $3950

Does it still have Magura brakes?

That would be a no.
The build list shows FSA Gossamer Pros with TRP levers.

That's a nice price cut from $5400 for the P3 DuraAce. Losing the Magura brakes is unfortunate. What else has changed in the spec? More specifically, the wheels, aerobars and saddle. I wonder when the frameset will be available. Given the price of the P3 Ultegra, do you think we could see the frameset priced at $3000?

Oh, cool. Cervelo website hasn't yet been updated.

What bar/stem come on the Ultegra version?

Hey Dev, I am looking at replacing my old P2C and the new P3 is at the top of the list of bikes I am considering. The new price point is very attractive. DuraAce vs Ultegra is functionally equivalent. The Ultegra version would seem to be a better value, although the Magura brakes are certainly attractive. They, or something like the TriRig Omega could always be added at a later date. BTW, I got in on the latest Flo order and picked up a set of Flo 30s with 11 speed hub. If the wheels seem nice I will be replacing my Zipp 404s with a Flo 60/90 or Flo 60/disc set. Wanting to go back to aluminum brake surfaces - I know, it's a race, what do you need to slow down for?

Something you will most likely want to replace. It probably comes with the 3T Aura which is as aero as a brick. I think Cervelo would be better off going back to Vision bars unless they offer something like the 3T Ventus II or 3T Adura.

No word on just framesets yet but around $3k seems about right.
ATC would strip a bike and sell the frameset.

Wheels are 3T Acceleros. They look nice (and they aren't R500's)

Rest of the build is similar to recent P series Ultegra bikes.
Prologue saddle.

Again ... it is 11 speed and 48cm 700c bikes seem to be available.
Our shipping report shows a 48cm P3 heading our way now.

This is more like I expected when the P3 was announced. Very strong contender at that price point. I think its smart to drop the Maguras to bring the price point down. I'm dying to try hydro rim brakes, but certainly more triathletes are interested in saving money at this price point and being at $4000 is right in the mix with the SC 7.5 and DA 4 price wise.

do you know of a site that has crank lengths paired with frame sizes? I'm a 54 in the P3, have been salivating over the idea of a new P# Ultegra build, and want 170, possibly 167.5 cranks in the 54. Do you know what it is spec'd with?

Thanks, Lanceman

PS planning on IMTexas in May-excited about racing in Texas again!

My P3 is a 56 and the crank is 170, it is the Dura Ace build, i would assume the Ultegra would be the same

Those 2 items on your post seem counter-intuitive. Are you sure 48cm is not 650?

Not that it makes a huge difference, but no 175s?

With this New P3, Cervelo introduced two new sizes:
a 45cm 650c and a 48cm 700c - see geometry below

For $4000, I'm thinking most good shops would try to accommodate you with whatever crank length you wanted.

Hi jaretj,

Yep. I'm happy to say we're delivering the first 50 size 45cm Ultegra P3s to North American retailers in the next month or so, and we're planning for more after that.
