This has been ongoing, was hoping for an easier issue to resolve, recent MRI revealed:
FINDINGS: ROTATOR CUFF TENDONS: There is a full-thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon. The tear measures approximately 2 cm in width and demonstrates 1 cm proximal retraction of the torn edge. The torn edge of the supraspinatus tendon is relatively well-defined. The infraspinatus and subscapularis tendons are intact.
So, this will require surgery. Question is - is there an issue with letting this ride until like.. September? I have a couple of races to produce in June and July. Even if I could get surgery done (like tomorrow) it would interfere with race production, i imagine.
I've been living with it since december, and can continue to do so, so long as it wouldn't hinder an eventual successful outcome via surgery.
Looking for experiences with this type of surgery - recovery and such. General PT has me 'managing', concern is more for long term if I delay surgery. Thanks in advance for any useful input. :)
