hi folks:

just for fun, here's me racing last weekend at the swiss national duathlon championships. my weapon of choice: a 20-year-old cervelo soloist (alu), with clip-ons and a hed jet 6/9 wheelset. it's a while since i had photos of me riding, so figured it'd be nice to submit to my humbling here:

You can’t really see much of the position from that photo, but equipment is all low hanging fruit. The Helmet and floppy sleeveless Tri top are simple fixes. pick up an aero basebar and shifters.

I bet you can find all this stuff on EBay for $100.

Raise hands 5cm. Lower head 10cm. The hole between your arms with airflow access to your chest and legs is a lot of watts.

Hard to tell as much from a front-on shot, but the obvious win is to "turtle" and get your head more in line with your body vs. sticking up in clean air.
