Cohen will reportedly be on the stand next week, testifying for the prosecution. I would estimate a high probability that Pendejo Naranja violates his gag order.

Trump's lawyers seem to have nothing so they are attacking the character of a porn star. She's a porn star, what did you expect; mother Theresa?!

And she's a pretty sharp cookie. She's turning everything right back around on the fat smelly guy with the orange hair.

It would seem that they'd have done better to just leave it alone and say ''We have no questions for this witness''. They'd have been better of.

Glenn Kirschner from youtube (former federal prosecutor) said that when he had a witness like Cohen or Stormy, he would bring it up in his opening statement. He would say something to the effect of "We know that Cohen has been found guilty and has served time. We would prefer to choose witnesses with a clean record. But it is important to remember that he is a witness because trump chose him to work with."

Same could be said with Stormy. "We know that Stormy is a porn actress, but trump chose to sleep with her - so that's why we called her as a witness".

so i'm confused on this point:

what facts are in dispute on this front? does trump categorically deny that he had sex with daniels? or does he just deny the subsequent stuff (payment, campaign expenses, etc).

According to the judge, in Todd Blanche’s opening argument he denied the affair with Stormy. Not sure of the exact words, but that was the gist of it.

danke.

so the official argument is "i didnt have sex with her, but paid hush money to make it go away (rather than deal with, say, suing her).
or does he also deny making the hush money payment?

Something else interesting about the opening statements is that Trump's team said that they did not reimburse cohen, that they paid him legal fees. Now, there are multiple pieces of evidence that there was a reimbursement. 1) a trump tweet saying that it was a reimbursement, 2) a conflict of interest form, and 3) court documents related to stormy daniels defamation cases in California.

It has to be incredibly hard for trump's legal team to overcome lying about multiple things in their opening arguments in a fraud case (now we have the sex + the reimbursement vs. legal fees)

It will probably depend if Cohen violates the judge asking him to not comment on the case this weekend. If he opens his mouth outside of court then he is fair game.

Maybe fair game to also get a fine or other penalty. I don't know the court rules, but I I'd hope the official policy isn't, "If everyone's threatening each other in public in the middle of the trial, then it's all good."

There is talk down here in Texas that if Trump is Elected he will make Ken Paxton the US Attorney General. If you thought it was bad before, you haven't read much about Paxton. He will blow the minds off of every liberal and progressive in the country and with Trump as his boss, it will get wild and wacky really quick.

Paxton is a nutcase, how he isn't in jail is beyond me. Texas just proves do as I say not as I do.

It appears to be as far as the gag order goes. The judge has allowed responses to comments outside the court.

Perhaps I am missing something but there does not appear to be a seemingly intelligent person on that list. Basically a bunch of deplorables.

At this point I would say anyone who supports trump is a deplorable. Honestly there are no redeeming qualities, I mean it, I can't think of one quality I would want to have that trump holds.

Speaker of house in Texas tried to impeach him but didn't work out. He would be a sledgehammer for Trump if Trump wins and appoints him US AG.

That's comedy gold. Definitely no subtext there!

Q: Ms. Daniels, is the person you refer to as the 'Orange Turd' sitting in the courtroom?
A: Yes.

Q: Please point to the Orange Turd.
<Daniels points>

Q: Ms. Daniels, I'm curious how you settled on 'Turd'. Why not Skidmark, Shitstain, Dung Beetle or Excrement?

Time and again trump's lawyer got owned by Stormy. I almost felt bad for the lawyer, talk about "flushing" your career down the toilet.
