I'm fairly ignorant about the impeachment process. I guess I thought it was essentially reserved for elected holders of office. I didn't realize appointed officials are subject to impeachment. I guess it follows since they have to be confirmed.

Let's be serious for just a minute. Impeachment of anyone is meaningless and no one cares. Be it a Dem or a Repub, we all know it's a political exercise to try and embarrass folks you don't' like. Be it Trump two times or Schipp or Mayorkas.

They should do away with impeachment all together and instead just call each other names for a few minutes and be done with it. About as impactful.

Let me see here. The House has had 3 years to approach any kind of fangled bill to work on border security, but have done Jack to process a bill. But hey lets impeach the cat cause we have done nothing. Oh and when any kind of bill is dropped from the Senate on border security, lets reject it cause it doesn't go far enough. And then lets reject a bill that has nothing to do with the border but with helping our allies cause it doesn't have border security in it. I am confused.
