MAGA fears Taylor Swift
Stephen Miller, bless his heart, is tweeting against Taylor Swift this morning. Over recent weeks Iā€™ve seen far right fringe elements calling her satanic, slut shaming (as if) and generally trashing her name. I can only assume itā€™s in anticipation of the general election contest given her incomprehensibly successful 2023 and her prior comments (see link below) speaking out against Trump and todayā€™s Republican Party. She is not one to shy away from a fight so depending on how compelled she feels to get political this year, this could get interesting.

This seems like a tactical mistake. Leave K-pop stans alone. Keep Swifties the hell out of the fight. These should be etched into anyone's campaign managment Best Practices list.

To be fair the "not organic" bit is a masterclass in word efficiency for conspiracy talk. Clearly designed to engender visions of Soros or Obama making Swift dance on puppet strings. Nevermind that Swift's net worth is north of a $B and she has a track record of not being anyone's bitch.

My wife and I were just talking about this. Sheā€™s a big TS fan and not just for her music. Sheā€™s got Fuck Me money, could Kanye her net worth in half and still be in elite wealth territory. Iā€™m not sure they want to pick a fight with her, all things considered.

I have to think the implication that sheā€™s not self made but rather an astroturf project by the left wing power structure wonā€™t sit well with her. If she wants to go hard in the paint before November, I have no doubt she could turn out serious numbers in the 18-35 female demo and it wonā€™t be for the petulant pussy grabber.

It's easy, they perceive someone doesn't like them that has influence so THEY must be insane or part of a conspiracy theory against them. See also: "it's a stolen election because I lost" and "projecting about abusing children because....yeah".

Is there a bunch of underground Taylor Swift resentment simmering on the right?

There's a good question. She's too young to be elected, but not to young to take the oath.

In November 2024, she'll be 34. In January 25 she'll be 35.

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years,

I'm going to assume she is because she wouldn't take the office until January.

I have a slightly different set of definitions:

Fuck me money - I associate with having no money, as in fuck my life (said in depressed manner)

Fuck you money - You are financially secure, could walk into job and just say fuck it, Iā€™m out of here and not sweat it

Fuck everyone money - basically the 9 figure club, especially the 10 figure club, you can do whatever the fuck you want

Funny that Trump's lawyer in the 14AS3 case in Colorado made the argument that if a party were to nominate someone who is not 35 (the Justice used as an example his "27 year old kid"), and said nominee were to receive the requisite number of Electoral College votes, then that person could be the President. Something about "Democracy." That's where his argument about qualification/disqualification leads.

Maybe the best thing I can hope for as a Republican is that they pick a fight with her and she goes after Trump and kills his chances. I'm not sure she has anything to fear from Maga, so.....

Edited to say, I don't want Trump to run. (Don't want Biden either), so I am in full favor of doing anything to rid politics of Trump running for President.

If she was president, would she write songs about Putin, and the little guy in North Koreo like she did about her ex-boyfriends. They might be nice to her knowing they would be immortalized in song if they pissed her off.

Not organic as in not from the grassroots? Deep state fabricated? I am with Randmart, don't play politics this girl and her band of followers. Why would Miller throw this out there? Testing the waters.

I'm not a Twitter guru, but I take it as a bit of a positive sign that out of 2.7M views there are 11K likes. Which is not even a half of one percent. And an order of magnitude fewer reposts and quotes than that. And that 2.7M is presumably made hugely of people who intentionally follow him. So that one maybe went down like a lead balloon.

I really don't understand this line of attack. Do these people think that the general public doesn't know that pop stars are fully manufactured, bankrolled by big money, shaped and molded, etc? Do they think the general public believes that huge pop stars like Swift and Beyonce are really just humble artists, expressing their small town American spirit with sequins and hip thrusts?

What is the possible end game these knuckleheads think they're going to achieve? Other than clicks for their socials (obviously)?

This is interesting. I've been seeing a lot of people saying that she sucks in the comments sections of TSwift videos. I was surprised to see that the were mainly middle aged white people. A friend had suggested that they might be conservatives, so I looked at their profiles and found a significant amount of evidence (the usual......US flags, prayers, rigged election conspiracies).

One had even commented that her entire career had been "scripted every step of the way."

*sigh* whatever. But seriously, what a bunch of ass holes.

I can't get over how tiny that beer can looks in his hands!

Normally that would indicate there is poor photoshopping being done on the pic.

I assume this is real?

That is real. That's Jason Kelce, Travis' brother.

How does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?

Eagles roster has him at 6'3" 295

That looks about right

FYI: the other two singers in the "Philly Specials"
band (Tackles Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata) are listed at 6'6" 325 and 6'8" 365, respectively, so Kelce is the "little one"

I keep forgetting to catch their podcast. The only one I've seen was a clip early in the season when Jason sorted a bunch of players - and a couple of coaches - into their Hogwarts houses (not only did he put Belichek into Slytherin, he compared him to Voldemort LOL that could come back to haunt him)

Taylor Swifts latest release The Tortured Poets Society dropped at midnight

The title track contains a reference to the Chelsea Hotel, of which I had to explain the significance to D'Kid, our in-house Swiftie

The Chelsea's Wikipedia page has already been updated

Quote:
The hotel was referenced in Taylor Swift's 2024 song "The Tortured Poets Department" on her album of the same name.

I streamed it at midnight during an overnight shift. Havenā€™t formed an opinion yet.

The wifeā€™s preordered copy is awaiting her return.

I believe itā€™s of the OJ vintage, 1994. We take her out for a valley cruise a few times a year. 30 years old now, qualifies for antique tags this year.

I'm easily confused.

What's the difference between ordering a copy and preordering?

Is it like prepreparing food or presale items? Which seem to basically mean preparing and sale.

Watching her concert movie with my wife right now. She is pretty amazing. I can see why she is so popular......and why the MAGA chuds are so scared of her.

Order it before itā€™s available to ship.

And they have to re-press it - basically, a First Edition

Not something anyone worried about in the past, but Discogs vinyl-philes are all about that shit, now

Spotify reported a record smashing 300 million streams of her new album in the first 24 hours.

Nah, MAGA doesn't have anything to worry about. :-)

Who'd've guessed Fox News would find a negative way to cover it.

Also, shouldn't professional copywriters know how to craft a sentence that doesn't confuse the reader? For clarity, the article was published anonymously because of a previous threat. The album wasn't given a harsh review because of it.

Taylor Swift's new album receives harsh review by anonymous author due to 'threats of violence'

Not gonna destroy brain cells by reading the article, but that's a confusing title.

Clickbait technique, making its way more and more into mainstream outlets. So that IS professional copywriting these days.

The most maddening clickbait technique these days is having a clickbait headline, and then you start reading it, and it's just paragraph after paragraph of meaningless filler before you get to the who/why/what/when/where.

I assume this is to maximize some tracked metric, like how long an ad stays in the view of the reader.

But I'll get to the about the 3rd pargraph and then if I sense that tactic, it's a permanent personal ban hammer to the whole site that hosted it.
