For the love of Pete! I thought I was going to get skunked again like survivor. The puzzle was so much easier than the break dance challenge and they couldn't get it. This would have been a good episode to pick the mom and son.

It means as of now DavHamm and Captain Canada has one more pick than we do but that can change depending on who gets knocked out in future episodes and who we have chosen.

And now there sitting in 3rd, could they fall all the way to the back in 1 week? or is this the last chance to pick them? The format change to leaving in groups in set intervals, makes this harder as they may have had a 5 hr lead, but now it gets dropped to like 30 min over 3 teams (assuming the 15min stagger in groups of 3 is maintained).

Mom is so uhm.. unathletic, that a moderately physical day with some heat, could easily drop them to the back.

Yeah, I think we all agree, they can't keep this up. Norm seems off on his own at this point. I think the cousins K, are done this week personally, I think they are the weakest team left also. But this race has seen many odd things happen, one bad wrong turn, or 1 easy puzzle and you can be moving up or down fast.

The firefighters who seem to fuck up for no good reason. They are both fit and smart enough but can't seem to read a map.

Some fun thoughts.. If Juan & Shane go home -- NormM wins
Assuming next week we all pick Rick & Cesar if they go home CaptCanada would get the win
Otherwise its looking like a tie between Ironclm and I (unless Amber&Vinny or Yvonne & Melissa go home this week)

I have noticed in a few of these pools lately this is happening. Need to think of a way to incentive taking some more risk early. I think with survivor and more options its less likely to happen.

Intresting 3 of our first week pics ended up gone already, then 2 of week 4 pics and norms week 2 pick is the only other one.

I guess a tie breaker could be avg week your picks went home (lowest wins -- so I have a 3 and 5 (avg4) CLM week 5&6 so avg 5.5.) but not sure this would be enough incentive to get folks to take more chances early.

A get back in card, if your pick leaves the week (or 2) after you picked them? well if we did 2 I would have 2 cars picked twins for week 1 went home 3, and the cousins I picked in week 4 and they went home the next week (just realized that was a perfect pick)

Wow, that was interesting.. but in the end, the FF went home as expected. But now is the interesting pick. Assume Norm Takes Ricky &Cesar

Was surprised they did not have Mom do the Welding as it was not a physical challenge.

Did anyone stick around to watch the previews.. So the camera crew misses the turn.. and I assume the team is going to have to wait for them to catch back up, what if the crew doesn't realize they are not following, hopefully some form of communication between the cars.

Juan and shane dropping to last has added a nice twist to our game, and possibly gave Norm a shot at the win. if the rest of us go with Juan & Shane.

Realistically none of them are going home, it's fait accompli.

Well Somehow Juan and Shane fell to 6th, they were 4th for the first 3 weeks then 5th, poppe up to the front for a few weeks and are now back of pack. I think there navigation skills have issues (which is funny for Pilots.. I guess you don't follow roads when you fly..lol) So I could see them going home this week.

Still not sure which way I want to go on my pick.

I don't know if in different countries signage is just different or not existing, I don't get it either, and seems to be a lot of navigation issues. The one team I sort of get, the guy was to be the navigator, but she didn't know how to drive a manual.

Your pick was a good call and very strategic. Ricky and Caesar aren't going anywhere and most likely to win at this point. Juan and Shane were in the last group to go so although unlikely ( in my opinion) to come in last, it certainly was more likely. I think it's going to be a tie with you and the Hamster. Kudos to Angie and Danny they really surpassed my expectations.

Well Down to the last week, feel very safe. We shall see how the flyboys do, they are the most inconsistent teams left if you look at weekly finishing place.

I think the rule is a bad one and screwed Angie and Danny. The crew never showed up, they waited 50min and just sent them on to the challenge cause other crews where there. The Crew had a local driver, so its odd they go lost, I don't think you should be penalized if your crew gets lost, I get it if your lost and ditch them but they were on the correct route, the crew just missed a turn and then who knows since they never showed up.

Seems like Ricky and Caesar are the heavy favourites for the win. Luck is always a factor but they must be in the running for GOAT. They are surprisingly fit for a couple of chubby dudes. Really fun to watch. Usually I find myself rooting against the truly dominant teams but they are so nice I do want them to win.

That finale was something. There is so much we don't see in the editing and the actual time difference between teams and how much orchestrating is going on for dramatic effect for ratings. They must have a deep biography for the individuals on the teams. Maybe even SAT type tests for assessments and they produce a season around that. Every episode had a complete advantage with being fluent in Spanish had a a huge advantage. On top of it Ricky grew up in Philly.

Yea - and Ricky and Cesar are not newbies to the reality TV game either. RIcky has been on Draggalicious (a drag show) and Cesar has been on Beat Bobby Flay.

I'd like to see the actual time differences for each thing during the final leg, and the final times. Reddit is hot with a theory that the guy giving the pilots incorrect information about the restaurant was a plant. What would have been their time if they didn't drive to New Jersey?
