del toro (or wellens for that matter) - I've never seen uae NOT go all in for Tadej when he is there (maybe adam saving third at the tour during Tadej's rough stage?). i don't know if this as true for other stacked teams (ineos (pidcock) / ef (healy leader? bettiol/powless). I would have to think when Tadej (or mvdp or remco) is in the race - its good for other stacked teams to have options.

can sd worx control with only 6 riders - i fear they can, i hope its more open like omloop.

Yes, if you're picking Pogi for the win (and it seems silly not to) then you'd figure the rest of the team works for him, but there's always the scenario where you send a dude up the road in order to make others chase and everyone ends up looking at each other, and if the guys up the road is a cat like Wellens, he just rides away.

i'm surprised no one is picking the rider with several cyclocross world cup podiums and decent one-day road performances, who is in a contract year and beefing with his boss. LFF of course ;)

i'm tempted to change my picks to include him just to be different now.

LFF?

Even though ‘Loop is the “season opener” it’s really this one that gets the HR up.

Yeah, this is a great race. Thanks Max for airing, they could have run more slam dunk contest replays instead..
Nice to not have to navigate Flo.
And there's Orla too.

Gravel looks fast.

Love seeing Qanon off the front and The Baby Bull is doing solid work.

This is more rain than expected!

Simmons looked to take a shot to the groin on that crash. :(

Is Pog gone for good already? Also, beautiful shots from the heli.

How do the wheel changes work ?

I am a spectator on the side of the road and I have my Vision wheel.

Some dude from Lotto flats, I give him my wheel ?

Am I now stuck with a hookless wheel or do we do an exchange at the end of the race ?

Is this an opportunity for a wheel upgrade (or degrade) ?

That's a good question...are you actually there or is this all pink?

Also, for anyone who wants Eurosport, I have one prepaid card from my brother left that can be used to sign up with.

I am watching from Ottawa. But I see people there and wonder how that works. I will ask. Chances are your wheel is cheaper than the one you get in exchange (unless you downgrade to hookless </pink>)

Exactly. Love it. I think he gets caught but UAE is jamming up the chase pretty well.

It's like the UAE car has a program where you plug in the characteristics of the riders in the group and it calculates how well a chase would go.

Apparently it said not good and Tadej go.

It is shocking but understandable to see really good bike racers switching to racing for 2nd with hours left.

Who is the former French rider commentating? He's good.

First race in forever I didn't pick Lasporty. Hell of a ride by him today.

Crime Dog is relentless. I hope he podiums.

Name a rider who did something similar in another classic (a Monument in this case) and went on to win by attacking solo from the predicted spot.

Eta: need to dial the clock back a few decades.

MSR has always seemed the one that is most difficult for him to conquer in my mind based on the way the Cipressa, regroup, Poggio doesn't really allow the no doubt about it escape, and tough for him to win the 3 up sprint with heavy hitters who really aren't decimated.

He may well prove me wrong.
