Does this count as a pain cave? Don't worry I'm getting a new bike soon. My LBS has ordered my argon 18 Nitrogen frame and the other components

been multitasking since I got my new bike and I don't currently have the space to set up a pain cave. I've been supervising my boys swimming while riding the bike.

About to move, so a temporary setup in the living room for Zwift.

New place is a townhouse, so I imagine I'll be stuck in the garage from here on out.

Starting the process to make a new man cave. First I have to throw all the furniture and carpet away since my cat thought all this stuff was her cat box.
I am now starting the process of painting the room back from back to white since I did and still do, use as a home theater.

Not as elaborate as other pain caves, but looking forward to a more spacious setup when we buy our next house.
Complete with Tour de France podium lion, 1x Tacx Bushido, 1x Tacx Vortex. In front of the S5 there is a diy tablet stand for Zwifting, Perfpro, Youtube, etc. It was made with galvanized pipe from the big box hardware stores. The gatorade cooler stores misc bike parts.

Not a fully dedicated space.. as it's my "office", guest sleeping area and workout space. At least I get my rides in which is all that matters I guess.

I've had terrible luck with USB extenders. Does the cat5 to use/rj45 really work that much better?

Seems to. I used to get dropouts all the time with the USB extenders. Going Cat5 to rj45 made the problem go away.

It's kind of small (that's what she said!) but I do enjoy my home gym:

I guess you're talking to me (?) *Cue Robert Deniro voice* I mainly do sprint tris and yes, I lift (relatively) heavy. I've always liked weight training and try to stay around 190 at 5'11"-ish because I still want to look like I weight train.

My pain cave, because the pain lets me know I'm still alive! I have a bodybuilding and powerlifting background but will start hitting some tri's and gravel races next season. I will never stop lifting though.

haha yes. I have the powerblock dumbbells but don't need nearly that much weight. I don't do nearly enough weight training but it's in my offseason plan.

So you basically have https://www.amazon.com/...s=usb+to+rj45+dongle plugged into your computer. Then Cat5 running to where you want ANT dongle, another adapter, and then do you just use a female to female USB like this, https://www.amazon.com/...female+to+female+usb that goes from RJ45 adapter to ANT+ USB Dongle?

Close. Here are the exact parts I ordered:

https://www.amazon.com/...00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Add one Cat5 cable and you're good to go.

Thanks! I like that idea better, one less adapter! And its still working great for your USB ANT dongle for TrainerRoad or Zwift?
I am about to start building a pain cave, and I want to run cat5 though some floor conduit to where my trainer will be to where the computer will be.

That's exactly what I've done, and yes - it is still working great.

Good luck!
