Thanks guys, I appreciate it! Now let's hope the legs will do their work this year, because I definitely can't blame it on the equipment haha.

The new Trek Speed Concept, with SRAM Red AXS, 55T chainring, Aerocoach bars, and an Absolute Black OSPW. For race day, I run a 56T 1x and the Princeston Carbon Works Wake 6560 up front and the Blur 633 V2 Disc in the rear. This was my dream build.

What stem and base bar are you using?

Great!

But….

You are gonna rip your hanger right off of you approach that gear combo and actually apply the force you’ll probably be using for that combo, a longer chain would serve you well

Pictures are with big ring up front, smallest in the back

yes, I have a separate race day chain for the 56t, that is a YBN rainbow color and waxed. This isn’t GCN so I don’t care about biggie smalls

Hello,

It’s still a bit crude, needs a little tweaking and then I’ll cut in carbon.

The biggest thing was trying to get the spacing exactly how I wanted.

Can you detail the custom finish process? Did you have a professional do the work? Did they strip the paint? And is that the raw carbon underneath? Or is that carbon ud applied over the base carbon fiber?

It's a gorgeous bike!

Thanks. Looks good. I have a trek SC and have been using something I got from Amazon, but I like that yours is a bit longer. No pun intended

My friend used to ride 2nd Gen SC and I made one similar for her.

I did one race and realized I wanted the spacing different and ripped a new one and used at StG and was stellar. One change in width now and I’ll cut in carbon.

(She saw the error in her ways and on a P5D now :) )

The bike was stripped of the original paint not knowing what to expect from the "visual quality" of the lay-up. Plan B was to simly repaint it but the bare material was looking awesome and so we only had to add the silver decals and clear coat the frame and the fork.

The whole build and paint work was taken care of by Dephion Performance in Spain. They got all the parts I requested (except the Enve wheels I supplied), made improvements during the project and even added a 3D-printed bento box to match the Alpha One basebar.

The most challenging part was getting my hands on a stock bike here in Europe what took me some 2 years - everything alse fell into place remarkably fast.

As assumed by another poster the bike looks best in the sunlight when the structure of the carbon shows.

GCN thing aside, the big small(er) combo is simply aesthetically pleasing. Haven’t seen a bike advert presented in the stretch mode - why would you not blip through to the right gear to make a much more presentable picture? The janky derailleur position just looks awk…or was the chain so short that the thing didn’t even shift?

I guess you should look at more ad pictures or not be so uptight that you freak out because the chain isn’t in the cog you want. The chain and everything shifts perfectly, even as 1X. Seems like maybe you don’t know much about working on bikes or building them if you think it won’t shift by looking at a low quality image.
